How we choose and review these resources

We prioritize government agencies and established public-service finders. Every card identifies the provider and whether it is state-specific or national. “Page reviewed” means the destination was retrieved and reviewed. “Official link confirmed” means an official page or indexed listing confirms the link, but destination access still needs a browser check. Interactive resources may require a browser to inspect fully. These labels do not verify every statement on a provider’s website.

All 50 states and Washington, D.C. include state-specific resources organized across seven categories, with national finders for additional help. This is a curated starting point, not an exhaustive list of programs. Linked providers determine availability, eligibility, fees, and document requirements. Links and programs may change.

For legal documents, ask a qualified professional about the current requirements that apply to your situation, especially when more than one state is involved. This directory does not create or validate legal forms.

Report a broken or outdated link. This opens your email app. Please include only the resource name and website address, without private family information.

If someone is in immediate danger, call 911. This directory is for education and finding resources. Messages to GYG are not monitored for emergencies. External resources open in a new tab.
YOUR PRIVACY

Your organizer stays in this browser.

Your organizer stores saved resource IDs, checklist progress, starting-point choices, and a check-in date in this browser only.

There are no document uploads or forms for health or financial records. Browser storage can be cleared or unavailable; this is not a records vault or a backup. Optional free-guide forms send your submitted name and email to Sender for Golden Years Guidance.

External links open other organizations’ websites, where their privacy policies apply. Pilot-interest links open an email draft; you choose whether to send it. Saving a calendar date does not schedule an email. The full privacy explanation describes email check-in availability and how signup information is handled. Read the full privacy explanation.
